Paul and Helen Carrico founded Carrico Implement, a Minneapolis Moline dealership, in Beloit, Kansas in 1955. It was the smallest of 9 dealerships in Mitchell County at the time. Their daughter Joan and her husband Ron relocated from Wichita to Beloit in 1963 when Ron joined his in-laws in the family business. The Ford line of equipment was added at that time with other short lines including Versatile, White Farm Equipment, Krause & Great Plains to follow.

Paul retired in 1976 and officially handed over the management reigns to Ron & Joan. The dealership flourished with the emphasis of customer service and progressive technological advances. In 1986 the family accepted John Deere’s proposal to take on their industry-leading line of equipment, which offered stability in a volatile time with an abundance of manufacturer mergers and acquisitions. Within the next 5 years Ron and Joan’s children, Dan, Karen & Craig, all had joined the organization.

The business continued to expand with the acquisitions of the Lincoln location in 1996 and Hays location in 2002. By this time Ron had turned over management responsibilities to Karen and Carrico Implement solidified its commitment to John Deere by discontinuing full-line contracts with CNH and Agco.

Having outgrown the Lincoln facility by 2012, the investment was made in a new facility in Ellsworth which resulted in a well-aligned, 3-store footprint to serve 14 counties in northern and central Kansas. The family-owned business is now in its 4th generation.

We sell the full line of John Deere agricultural equipment, including farm tractors, compact tractors, combines, hay equipment, sprayers, consumer and commercial products, zero turn mowers, lawn tractors, UTVs and skid steer loaders. We also offer a multitude of short line equipment to be able to serve a wide range of needs.
